Kevin Millis Controlling the Kukan DVD

This DVD examines controlling the fighting space, using “stop hits”, parrying attacks, transitional concepts for manipulating the Kihon Happo and the connection between the Odachi and Jo.

Produced with the assistance of Shidoshi Ho Nick Armsworthy and the Bujinkan Edmonton Dojo, revisit our 2010 Bujinkan Millis Dojo seminar focusing on aspects of the “Kukan” or fighting space.  Using the form “Koku” as a model for experience we blend evasion, counter striking and weapons to shed light on some of our most important foundational concepts and movements. 

Controlling the fighting space, using “stop hits”, parrying attacks, transitional concepts for manipulating the Kihon Happo and the connection between the Odachi and Jo are also examined and applied in practice as well, rounding out another tremendously successful gathering of Bujinkan Buyu.
